54 days of Christmas; day 25, 26, and 27

DAY 25, 26, & 27: Life has been too rough lately to think about Christmas. I was all "in the mood" for Christmas, but I'm not so much now. I still need to do the actual quilting on T's quilt. I'm not sure if I'll have the money to send away the three quilts that I wanted to... Maybe they will be a New Year's gift instead. I've been looking through the list I made of people's gifts & re-arranging some things and having to cut some people out, too. I still need something else to give to M. Would it be wrong not to send out Christmas cards this year?

54 days of Christmas, day 34

DAY 34: Made something of felt, today, to add to R's gift.

How to make Pumpkin Puree

1. Peel and cut up your pumpkin(s), removing the seeds

2. Steam the pumpkin for about 15 minutes

3. Put the pumpkin into a blender or food processor, I added cinnamon just because I add cinnamon to almost everything :P

4. Blend pumpkin until smooth

5. Finished! just like in a can! You can freeze for later, if desired.

54 days of Christmas, day 40

DAY 40: Started to prepare some Christmas packages that will need to be mailed away. Decided on what else to get mom & a little something for S. I would love to finally make a gingerbread house, but don't see the point as I can't actually eat it & it might just end up being a waste of money... I saw a wonderful little pink one on a sign at the Bulk Barn & really loved it...

54 days till Christmas

It is the first of November. I was told that it is 54 days until Christmas. I want to (try) and post something everyday of what I am doing to prepare for Christmas. Be it buying a gift, deciding on what to buy, designing Christmas cards, decorating, baking, etc. This is my goal in updating my blog everyday. I wonder if I can do it?
DAY 54: Today, I set up a swap on swap-bot so that I will receive Christmas scrapbooking supplies, for the Christmas Journal I'm making for Polar (Anita).
