"I am a full-time professional artist living in Europe, between USA, United Kingdom and Spain . I came out of University of the Arts London with a First Class Honours Degree. I have always loved painting and using my imagination. I have two children, and two dog children ( two cheeky dachshunds). They are my backbone to all my creations ...... the beauty in imperfection, life, emotions, good, bad, sad, happy, funny, cheeky, naughtiness, madness, love and much more. I hope to offer in each and every print and painting a little piece of me and my imagination. This artworks are painted specifically for Etsy"

Lilla Jizo

Beach Glass, Kanzeon Bodhisattva (Kuan Yin, the Bodhisattva of Compassion)
"Lilla Jizo is Swedish for Little Jizo. Jizo is a helper and protector in Japanese Buddhism, pictured as a wandering monk and often with childlike appearance. Traditionally, he is the helper and protector of women, children and travellers. Since we are all travellers between Birth and Death, that means everyone is included... His vow is to not stop his efforts as long as there is still a single being suffering in the world. I chose my name Lilla Jizo because I have a strong personal connection to this being, and he often appears in my art, as you will notice if you visit my shop."

Sonja Kedem

Lace pattern dessert serving plate
"I am a Swedish ceramist that live and work in israel. I am inspired by old handcrafted items and oftem use them in my work to create pattern, like lace from my great grandmother who also was called Sonja. I love how you can see each stich from the lace making a beautiful pattern in the clay and knowing that someone once made each little stich by hand with love. I use colours that talk my soul, and make me calm. Shades of green, turqouise and white are my favorites."

Queen Anne's Lace
"Once upon a time there was a little girl whose mother taught her an appreciation for reading and for creating things. This little girl's mother was an excellent artist and a seamstress and made most of the family's clothes. It seemed there was nothing the little girl's mother couldn't do. The little girl grew up and eventually went off to work for a big corporation for a quarter of a century. She didn't always like her job, but it paid the bills and allowed her to indulge in her penchant for buying art and craft materials and making things in her spare time, even though there wasn't very much spare time. After awhile, the little girl had worked for long enough that the large corporation allowed her to retire. And now the little girl, who's not really such a little girl any more, spends a significant amount of time every day creating something. Not the end. ... Hi! I'm MaryLou :-) That little girl up there was me. I retired from my 'real' job a few years ago, and I haven't missed it for a minute. Now I get to stay at home with the love of my life and create to my heart's content. The only problem I have now is that there are only 24 hours in the day (and realistically, I can only stay awake and creating for 16 of them...)."

Rose Plaid Capelet in Wool// Toggle closure
"Because of the women in my vast Dominican family, I grew up loving fabric and the idea that you could create virtually anything you wanted with it. After having worked in NY City's fashion district for over 15 years, I took a leap of faith, got married, moved out of state and fell in love all over again with my sewing machine. I get inspired by all that is around me : friends, family, rice pudding , vintage ( I serously wish I could time travel to just nab the amazing clothes from every era!!) and the countless magazines that keep accumulating in my husband's garage (sorry hun!). The items here are all a labor of love. As with any labor, there are the pains of having to change countless broken needles, ripping appart unacceptable stitching, pressing and smoothing until I am absolutely satisfied with the final product. My goal is to make sure you have a durable and unique item, so that you can enjoy it for as long as you own it."

Green bead statement necklace mexican style
"hello! i studied jewelry design in Antwerp, Belgium and in La Escola Massana, Barcelona, Spain. and took jewelry courses in Oaxaca, Mexico. this is how it all began: i was still a little girl when it first came to my mind to sell the jewelry i made. so together with my best friend I made a bunch of things on a rainy afternoon and the very next day we took our little treasures to a fancy store in the nearest city! And they accepted everything we made! my friend dropped out but I kept on going. I grew up, moved to Mexico by the time I was 18 on an interchange program. i fell in love with this amazing country and promised myself I would come back. After a year of Mexican sun I went back to Belgium to study Jewelry design in Antwerp (st-lucas) and Barcelona, Spain (escola massana) . But my mind was still in Mexico, so I during my studies I went back every summer until i finished my master degree in jewelry art and i was free to go. Well, ever since i’m here, in Oaxaca, designing, making and creating… And thanks to Etsy i can now reach people worldwide!"

Blue Sky Pottery

Blue Bowl in robin's egg blue - hearts
"I am a studio potter who works in porcelain and stoneware creating one of a kind, functional pottery including whimsical teapots and tea cups, bowls, casseroles, plates, tumblers, platters, vases and tiles. I have studied under such renowned potters as Clary Illian, Lorna Meaden, Chris Gustin, Steven Hill, Diana Fayt, Meira Mathison, Sylvie Granitelli, Julia Galloway, Bonnie Seeman, Sarah Jaeger, and Sandi Pierantozzi. From each of these wonderful artists, I usually take away a new technique or way of creating that I then incorporate into my own pottery voice. I am a founding member of the Steamboat Clay Artisans and work with this group on an annual Soup Bowl Supper fundraiser, a holiday sale, summer farmer's market, and educational programs. If you're ever in Steamboat -- we have a great ski mountain and wonderful hiking trails -- please stop into my studio/gallery and say hi. My work is featured in Best Of America Pottery and Woodworking Artists & Artisans Vol.1 by Kennedy Publishing. And it is featured in the November 2010 issue of AARP magazine."

Betsy Youngquist

Small Eye Hand (blue eye) by Betsy Youngquist
"Betsy Youngquist's mixed media beadwork reflects a fascination with the intersection of humans, animals, and mythology. Stemming from a life-long love of all creatures great and small, Betsy’s work weaves together the human and animal spirit through a surrealistic lens. When creating her embellished objects, Betsy collaborates with sculptor R. Scott Long in designing and constructing the forms. Each piece starts as a unique carving. The surfaces are encrusted with beads and found materials in a mosaic process, often incorporating fragments of old porcelain dolls. During the past dozen years, Youngquist has exhibited her work at the National Museum of Women in the Arts and the Smithsonian Craft Show in Washington, D.C., the VIDA Museum in Borgholm, Sweden, and most recently, Betsy and Scott completed an installation project for the Racine Art Museum in Racine, WI."

Elizabeth Frank

Couple - Kissing Birds No. 5 - Union Series
"I'm a full time artist living in the the southwestern United States. Most of my artworks are carved from fallen aspen that I gather in the mountains of Northern Arizona and New Mexico. I make at least one trip annually to the mountains to gather the aspen that I’ll use over the course of the year. My visits to the forest are like a pilgrimage. Every time I return I’m inspired by the strength and the delicacy of the natural world. I combine the carved wood with an assortment of found, antique and reclaimed materials. When I'm not in my studio I like to spend time outside observing the goings on of the bugs and birds and the passing clouds. The intricate balance between humans and the natural world is an ongoing theme in my artwork. I try to walk lightly on the earth."

Hopn Frog Pottery

Ladybugs Mug, pottery, wheel formed and sculpted with leaves, gumnuts and tree branch handle.
"My mission is to create functional art that is visually entertaining; that is charming & brings a smile to your face. I have been working (although I enjoy it so much it seems more like playing) with clay since 1999. I adore the feel & texture of clay & find something very fullfilling & satisfying in turning a simple ball of clay into something useful & pretty that people take delight in using. I love art that can be touched, felt & used which is what draws me to claywork with Australian landscapes, fauna and flora being my inspiration for surface treatment. I studied at Hornsby TAFE college (in NSW, Australia) for 5 years both full & part time, recieving Distinctions in Surface Treatment & my work was purchased to be displayed in the ArtsNORTH permanant art collection. I use various techniques- wheel forming, handbuilding, sculpting & slip-casting. My surface treatments also vary from clear glaze over underglaze to saggar & pit-firing where some salt, sawdust & other combustible materials along with heat and mother nature are left to make their mark. Teapots, bowls, mugs & bottle forms are my favourite items to make. I usually embellish them with hand sculpted frogs, lizards, ladybugs, grasshoppers, butterflies & dragonflies & always aiming for a playful whimsy. My work has been exhibited & sold in galleries & shows around Sydney & been published in magazines such asThe Journal of Australian Ceramics, Pottery In Australia & Australian Ceramics, Glasswork & Pottery magazines & can also be found in collections around Australia, UK, USA, China, Holland, Korea & Italy. I am currently busy in my home studio in Sydney creating work that I hope will delight you & make you smile. You can also view past & present works as well as see progress photos of work in the making on my Facebook Page Hop'n Frog Pottery."

Happy Canada Day!!

Radiant Red Leaf Pendant
"My name is Kristen and love art in any form. I love to paint, draw, sculpt, knit, scrapbook, make headbands...you name it! Everything about nature and God's creation amazes me. I love to see how the seasons change with the warm colors of fall, the cool colors of winter, and the bright and bold colors of spring and summer. Leaves and trees are some of my favorite inspirations and you will find them as decorations and paintings throughout my household. :) Everything I create is in some way or another inspired by the one True Artist of this world. Without Him I would be nothing. :) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17"
